Anyone with a valid base ID card may check things out
form the library. Checkout time is one week for DVDs and
three weeks for all other materials. We offer children's
story time on Thursdays at 1100 and 1700.
Collections at
the Kirtland Library include: magazines, music CDs
professional military education, (including the CSAF
reading list) large print, test prep, fiction,
nonfiction, biography, reference, and many language
learning materials. In the children's area we have
videos, audio-books, fiction, nonfiction, biography,
reference, paperbacks, and easy picture books. In young
adult, we have fiction, nonfiction, and some
audio-books. There are subscription databases in which
you can look up nearly anything in magazine and
scholarly journal articles, as well as reference books
like contemporary authors.
There are fifteen computers for customer use, some with
CAC readers (one has a scanner, all computers have color
printers).
We have WIFI! No password needed.
900 current movies, classic movies, TV shows, and
educational videos in both DVD and VHS format (can be
checked out for one week).
Over 1200 audio-books in CD, Cassette, and Play-Away
(both in fiction and nonfiction).
