The Airman & Family Readiness Center in partnership with
Kirtland Federal Credit Union, Sandia Area Federal
Credit Union, and Wells Fargo Bank (no federal
endorsement intended) is hosting The Great Money Race
Scavenger Hunt (21 Feb – 21 Mar 2010), in conjunction with
the Military Saves campaign (21 Feb – 28 Feb 2010)
According to the Military Saves website, “Military Saves
is a national campaign to persuade, motivate, and
encourage military members and families to save money
every month, and to convince leaders and organizations
to be aggressive in promoting automatic savings.”
To register for The Great Money Race Scavenger Hunt complete all three activities, based on your age
category and send an email to
Kirtland.AFRC@kirtland.af.mil with your name, age,
unit, telephone number, email address and t-shirt size
(adult or child size shirt S, M or L available).
Submit proof of completion of each activity to the
Airman & Family Readiness Center by noon 19 March 2010
to be eligible to win a prize.
Proof of completion may include presenting the Counting
Money Worksheet(s), product coupon(s), business plan,
spending plan, receipt for coin counter, signature of
bank or credit union representative or class
facilitator, printout of the Saver’s Pledge or TSP
calculator worksheet, etc.
Prizes will be awarded on 20 March 2010 at 1 pm at the KAFB Bowling Alley to eligible registered Great
Money participants who have completed all 3
activities and whose names are selected at random.
Eligible participants need not be present on 20 March
2010 to
win a prize.
All eligible registered Great Money Race
Scavenger Hunt participants will receive a Great Money
Race t-shirt and one
free bowling game
at the KAFB Bowling Alley. The free bowling game
must be used on 20 March 2010.

Write a business plan. Visit

for ideas.

Talk to a loan officer at a bank or credit union about
car financing OR explore student aid options on the web
or at the Base Education Office.
·
Open a savings account.
18 to adult
·
Attend the financial investing class on 11 March, 2010
at 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the A&FRC.
·
Complete a spending plan at the A&FRC.
·
