VA Benefits and Entitlements
Are you leaving the military and want to know more about
VA benefits? This briefing will answer your
questions.
DTAP Workshop
A workshop for separating and retiring members who have
or believe they have one or more medical conditions
which may qualify them for VA Disability. Learn
how to apply to the VA for Disability and other
benefits, services and assistance including Benefit
Delivery at Discharge (BDD) and the Vocational
Rehabilitation Program. Bring a copy of your
medical records.
NM Department of Workforce Solutions
(DWS) TAP Workshop
Employment workshop designed to prepare military members
and their families for the transition from military to
civilian life. Topics covered include skills
assessment, transferable skills, job search, resume
writing, job interviewing, and more. Civilian attire is
highly encouraged (NO tank tops, shorts or
flip-flops).
Predeployment Briefs
Military and Civilian members who are about to deploy
are required to attend the Airman & Family Readiness
Center mandatory pre-deployment briefing; also included
in the briefing will be the Military & Family life
Consultant, The American Red Cross, and Finance and
Mental Health. Family members are encouraged to attend.
Bundles for Babies
Are you ready for your baby to arrive? Bundles for
Babies, provides information to help parents prepare and
adjust to a new baby. Each family will receive a gift
bundle compliments of the Air Force Aid Society.

Reintegration Seminar
Reintegration Seminar is
scheduled for those military and DoD Civilians who have
recently returned from deployment. The seminar will be
held at the Airman & Family Readiness Center RM 126.
Military members, DoD Civilians, spouses, supervisors
and commanders are highly encouraged to attend this
Seminar covering PTSD and spiritual an health wellness
presented by base agency experts
Mandatory Pre-separation Briefings
Retiree Group Briefing
Separate Group Briefing
This highly informative briefing covers a wide range of
benefits and services available to transitioning
military personnel and their families. Members can
choose to participate in the monthly group briefing or
schedule an individual appointment. During the briefing
the DD Form 2648, “Pre-separation Counseling Checklist”
(which is required for final out-processing) is
completed. This briefing is mandatory for all
separating and retiring military members no later than
90 days prior to separation or retirement. Spouses are
encouraged to attend. Provided for all branches of
service - Active Duty, Reserve and Guard.

A geriatric social worker, will present on dementia,
Alzheimer’s, Medicaid, Medicare, assisted living

search strategies and how to begin the process of
writing an effective resume.
